Recurve S Type 5
Another bass with an Antipodean facing,in this case a very nice Myrtle Burl.
A lot of subtle veneer work on the headstock and under the finger boar all accented with Purpleheart.
Pickup covers in Wenge/Myrtle Burl made for me by Williams Guitars.
Salace 5. (Headless)
Holly top with Bloodwood accents make for a very nice combination on this bass.
The Bloodwood ramp contains an RFB and a PB pickup in as close as possible to their normal positions.
The RFB is a Musicman type humbucker and the PB is a P Bass split coil connected up to an East U-Retro Deluxe.
There is also a gold Sovereign set into the top supplied by the customer.
Salace 6. (Headless)
This is the first Salace model designed in conjunction with Paul Sugden.
Designed from the ground up as a headless model taking aspects of the Gallus and Harlot shapes.
Macrocarpa another Australian wood is used for the top on this bass making a very nice contrast with the very dark Wenge body.
Wenge/Ebony ramp again made for me by Williams Guitars. If you have not seen Haydn's work you should visit his site well worth the effort.
The RFB pickup has coil switching and is paired with the ACG EQ02 3K.
