Neil Murray and ACG pre-amp Neil was kind enough to send some comments on the pre-amp.
I have installed an ACG preamp in my Dingwall Prima bass, which is a high-quality instrument which deserves the best electronics. I have used it on various sessions, including the forthcoming CD by the band Empire
(http://www.empire-rock.com) and I've been very pleased with the huge variation in tones I can get, and in particular being able to have quite different EQs for each pickup.
